Day 291- I'm dreaming of a white....Halloween?

Well, we made it to lunch until the snow started to fall.  Then we were able to get out early and come home to enjoy the snow before the whiteout, windy blizzard hits tomorrow.  Jackson had so much fun in the snow and was so mad that I made him come in.  Vivienne was just intrigued by it.  The power keeps flickering, so I'll keep it short.  We went to Chinese for my birthday dinner and are getting ready for an early bedtime. 

I had a great birthday, thank you everyone for your birthday wishes!

Day 290- Halloween Fun

We had a day watching Spookly the Square Pumpkin (over and over again), Hocus Pocus, playing trains, learning to crawl (she can move a few spots forward before she falls now!), baking and decorating Halloween cookies, and carving pumpkins.  We even snuck in a nap.  It was a great day and I'm not so secretly hoping for a snow day or two this week so that we can have more fun!

Day 289- Storm Prep haha

The kids started off their day with a surprise package from their Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Bill.  They were spoiled, as usual, and had a lot of fun opening the package.  Thank you!

There is supposed to be a storm coming this week, but it's looking like it's not  going to be as bad as originally predicted, so that's good news.  We had a good day today playing and reading and shopping.  We got boots for each kid (poor Vivienne didn't have any shoes to keep her feet warm), they each got some new socks for their growing feet, some basic groceries, and stuff to make Halloween cookies tomorrow.  We had to wait in line for 40 minutes at Wal Mart- storm prep in Elkins is in full swing.

Since we spent so much time out shopping, naps were late and then bedtime was late.  Jackson is sitting with me watching Spookly the Square pumpkin for the bazillionth time and then we are off to bed.  Hopefully a late bedtime for the kids means sleeping in tomorrow!  We are looking forward to baking and carving pumpkins and hiding from the rain, snow, wind and cold tomorrow.   Hope all of you affected by the upcoming storm stay safe!
