Day 91- Monkey

Jackson was pretty full of himself today- it seemed almost like he was trying to get hurt. Their Grandpa and Great Uncle Jerry stopped by for a short visit this morning and he was wound then and just seemed to get crazier and crazier as the day went on.  We had a quiet day inside doing laundry and playing with toys.  It was too chilly and rainy to do much else.  I hope that we have nicer weather for the rest of spring break, I'm looking forward to some outside time now that Vivienne is happier for longer periods of time without nursing or sleeping.
Oh and Vivienne started to suck her thumb 3 different times today.  Hopefully this means she'll be able to self soothe soon!

just exhausted
enjoying jackson's nap time
talking to me
so tickled with himself  that he's not listening and dancing on the coffee table
silly faces
he stopped  moving for 10 seconds to hang with his loon
a quick nap

she loves her caterpillar
chilling with some toys
testing out the swing while i grill

Day 90- Spring Break

I know I shouldn't be too excited since I've only been at work for 2 weeks, but I am.  I'm looking forward to a week home doing fun Easter things with Jackson and Vivienne.  I'm looking forward to taking the dogs for walks and playing outside and most importantly I'm looking forward to not getting up at 5:00 am!
Jackson looks way worse today than he did last night, but he's not affected at all.  He's still kissing, eating salty foods, and shoving as much in his mouth as he can.  His teeth seem to be just fine so now it's just how he looks- which is rough!  We had a great evening and Jackson was sound asleep by 7:30, Vivienne by 8:30, my goal is 9:30.

Finally a decent picture of the two of them :) Minus the busted up jackson face
I think it makes him look tough
She likes to mimic me and tilt her head from side to side during our 5 minutes of bumbo time
Swimming, swimming
so relaxed
Nervous about the water coming from the tub, Jackson was a splashing machine
belly time!
We have to maximize our time when it's just me and the kids, so brushing teeth in the bath tub is a big helper (notice Tuesday night's injury to his elbow)

Day 89- Someone get this kid a helmet

So not too much new tonight except spring break starts tomorrow!  Oh and when Jackson was getting out of timeout today he tripped and went face first into the coffee table.  He has a pretty decent cut inside his lip and it's all puffy.  Pair that with the scraped arms and knees from falling on Tuesday and the black eye from Brenda's on Wednesday and I'm terrified to take him out in public.  Vivienne had a really good evening and is slowly moving her bedtime up :) I'm going to try and take advantage of that now and finish up for the night.  I'm so looking forward to Sunday when Russell is home and I can nap when Vivienne naps, I miss sleep! (and I know I can't complain too much b/c my kids sleep a minimum of 9 hours- I just need a maid and a chef and work to start at noon- or to win the lottery)

secrets :)
Outside makes him feel better
bruised and bloodied- but he's happy
 peek a boo
don't you look at me like that (what V is saying to the baby in the mirror)
Yes- I look miserable
 sharing his "melmo" sippy
If that doesn't look like and evil plotting brother, I don't know what would qualify
happy girl
 bubbles!
Just hanging around on my car
Fat lip/ huge cut doesn't slow him down when there's syrup involved

Day 88-2 Month Stats

Miss Vivienne is a chunk compared to Jackson at this age.  He was 10lbs 14oz and 23 in, she weighed in today at 12lbs 4oz and 22 inches.  I knew she was growing out of clothes faster than he did, but I didn't realize it was that much!
She did fine with the shots at the doctor, but had a very rough evening.  She went to bed early, I hope that she stays asleep all night.  I had to give her tylenol because she was in a lot of pain, but it seemed to help her.
Jackson was in his own mood today.  He was a wild man at the doctor's office and came home to throw multiple tantrums.  He's cutting another molar and testing boundaries these days so it's rough for him.  However, by 5:30 I was able to get everyone calmed down and happy and we had a much nicer end to the evening.

Shots are no fun
teething is terrible
but munching on fingers while watching elmo is a little better
 milk coma
She wanted to check out her brother
off centered, but she did smile a little before the shots got to her
growing up so quickly
 driving around his Elmo car
 traffic jam
 vroom, vroom
 big hugs
getting bored quickly
all done, mooo- mooo
I guess he was ready for bed
15 minutes after he went to bed
fortunately he didn't fight me when we put the penguin away and put everything back in bed, including him
