Day 244- College Color Day

Today was college color day so we were all decked out in our WVU attire. I tried to get a picture of the Joe, Bernie, Jackson, and Vivienne but that was a disaster to say the least. Joe knocked Vivienne over a couple times, sat on her, jumped on Jackson, Bernie slobbered on Jackson so Jackson hit him, by the end I gave up without any decent pics of the four of them, but a good lesson to never try to get the 4 of them in a picture again!
After the picture disaster I was treated to Russell making dinner and giving the kids a bath.  I guess it truly is "once in a blue moon" (I kid). Now I'm watching the end of Bambi with Jackson and looking forward to an early bedtime tonight- this work stuff is exhausting!

Day 243- Out to Eat

We had our first successful trip out to eat at a regular sit down restaurant in some time tonight.  Jackson and Vivienne shared a  burger, fries, and applesauce.  I did have to break out the ipad at the end of the meal to keep Jackson occupied, but it worked and we had a nice meal- it was such a relief to see that they are finally at a stage where it's not scary to eat in public lol.
Tomorrow is Friday! It has been one long week- 2 more meetings tomorrow and then a 3 day weekend :) 
Don't forget to break out the blue and gold for college color day tomorrow- it's football season!!

Day 242- Busy Night

I still have lots to do so here's a quick post.  We are having a late night since I had to run errands after work.  The kids were great the whole time, which made it super nice.

Day 241- B. Zany Zoo

The Zany Zoo is awesome.  I said it this time last year, I'll say it again.  Tonight, for the first time in 7 months, Jackson and Vivienne sat and played nicely, with no issues, without needing me right there, for 45 minutes. AMAZING.  I brought it up last night when I was cleaning up and Jackson thought it was a new toy and kept yelling "oh thank you mama, thank you new toy, thank you!" If you do not have a zany zoo for your infant/toddler GET IT!

Day 240- Haircut

Sorry Mamaw, we cut his hair again.  We had a fun evening, and I even let them stay up a little late to play outside since it was so nice out.

Day 239- Kid's Day

The kids both slept in until around 9 and we had a tasty brunch.  Then I saw that they were having Kid's Day at one of the parks today so I packed them up and we headed over. Jackson had a great time and Vivienne seemed to enjoy herself as well.  It ended up being super sunny and warm (not what was called for) so we felt like it was still a summer activity (and yes I know it's still summer, school just makes me think fall).  Jackson loved the sand and slides most of all, Vivienne liked trying to eat grass.  They both really enjoyed the swings.  I was glad to get out and enjoy the day, though I'm now going to have to stay up a bit to do lesson plans :(
